Steal this dinner framework for pregnancy prep!!

I don’t weigh or measure any of my food. You might need more or less than what is shown— we are different people with different needs 🩵

Here’s what I do aim for at dinner:

• plenty of protein (around ~30 g)
• color
• carbs with fiber
• fat (sometimes it comes with the protein, sometimes I add it)
• flavor + satisfaction (if it doesn’t sound good, I’ll want to eat something else afterwards)

These are just dinners I ate.
And yes, I always eat dessert.

Simple, supportive, and sustainable!!

There are so many holiday foods you can enjoy whil

There are so many holiday foods you can enjoy while pregnant — these are just ideas 🫶🏻

During the holidays, the standard food safety rules matter even more, especially with shared dishes and food sitting out longer than usual.

A few things to keep in mind:
• Wash hands before eating or serving food
• Skip foods that have been sitting out longer than 2 hours (or 1 hour in warm rooms)
• Make sure meat, poultry, and seafood are fully cooked and served hot
• Eat cold foods (like shrimp cocktail, dips, or salads) straight from the fridge
• Be cautious with pre-cut fruit & veggie trays — they’re handled more and show up often in outbreaks
• Avoid dairy from unknown sources
• Don’t be afraid to ask who made a dish and how it was stored
• When in doubt, it’s okay to skip it!

Remember,
1️⃣ produce collectively causes the most food borne illness outbreaks.
2️⃣ pasteurization greatly reduces the risk of germs growing in foods and drinks but doesn’t get rid of the risk entirely, to say this a different way, foods that haven’t been pasteurized aren’t automatically dangerous just more likely to grow a germ

If you don’t trust the raw produce at the party, just stick to cooked dishes!

Store bought desserts that have whipped toppings are safe but raw egg might have been used in homemade desserts, just ask, or eat cookies!

Ultimately, do what fits within your comfort zone, eat foods that bring you nourishment but also joy 🫶🏻✨
