—While very serious, listeriosis is extremely rare. Stats show deli meats were more likely to be contaminated in the ‘90s; now, more dairy items and produce are.
—Heating deli meats greatly reduces your risk of getting listeriosis, but I DO NOT recommend consuming deli meats at all if you have diagnosed anxiety or another mental health disorder that will otherwise cause you to spiral after eating them.
